Christ’s Passion in Art  & The Cloisters’ Collection

For the past season of Lent, we held a lecture and a tour program. The lecture on “Christ’s Passion and the Cloisters’ Collection was a presentation on the works of art that deal with Christ’s Passion and Resurrection and on works from the Cloisters museum in New York City. . Our guest speaker,  Joan Quinn, is a retired Art Department Chair from Clarkstown High School South in Rockland County, where she taught Advanced Placement Art History. Currently she presents art lectures at libraries, leads tours at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cloisters, and works for the Clarkstown Community Learning Center as a teacher of various topics in the history of art.

The tour, guided by Ms. Quinn, focused on the highlights of the art and architecture of the Cloisters, and was held Saturday, March 24.
