September Note

It’s hard to believe that summer is finishing up already and we are moving into our fall programs and opportunities. In the September edition of our newsletter, you will find information about mission activities with Habitat for Humanity and Rural and Migrant Ministry. We look forward to Sunday School beginning on September 12th, and we have adult formation opportunities with a labyrinth walk and Immanuel-God-With-Us.

I would like to also draw your attention to our Taize Service, which is restarting this month. Taize is a practice of sung prayer, featuring short songs, accompanied by our own musicians on flute, guitar, and violin. This service is a time to stop and pause for a short time, offer prayers, and refresh our spirits. Please see details about the service below. We hope to see you there.

In one final note, I want to make parents aware that we will be holding a Confirmation Class this program year, beginning in January 2022 and culminating on Pentecost Sunday. All youth in grades 7 and up are welcome to take part in Confirmation. I will be emailing more information to families we know have children in this age bracket but I invite you to help spread the word to others as well.

I look forward to enjoying this change of season with all of you. Thank you for sharing this ministry.

Faithfully, Pastor Tricia
